Anyone applying for professional engineering (P.Eng.) or geoscience (P.Geo.) licensure in Canada is typically required to pass the NPPE. Requirements may vary by province.

The exam consists of multiple-choice questions and is computer-based. It covers topics such as ethics, professional practice, law, and regulatory requirements.
